Dreams of Grandeur

THE DREAM

Setting: Chicago
UIC Pavilion
Time: Dusk-Fall

There is a light chill in the air as the autumn leaves rustle through the air. Crowdaddy looks up to the marquee and marvels in his greatest accomplishment. “UIC Pavilion and Dunkin Doughnuts present: “The Gathering”-November 1-3. Dum-Dum Dugan walks up to Crowdaddy with a cigar in his teeth and congratulates him with a slap on the shoulder.

Dum-Dum: “We couldn’t have done it with out you Crow.”

Crow’s phone rings:

Crow: “Yellow”
Caller: “Is this THE Crowdaddy?
Crow: Uh? I guess.”
Caller: “My name Hugh Hefner, you may of heard of me.”
Crow: “Nope”
Hugh: “Well, I just wanted to tell you how much we appreciate all the work you have put into organizing the greatest gathering of all time.
Crow: “O’ thanks dude”

The low thud thud of a distant helicopter can now be heard.

Hugh: “And to show you our appreciation…I’ve sent you a little care package.”

A Chinook rumbles over the top of the pavilion and banks hard around crow and dum-dum. It swoops in and lands a few hundred feet away. Out of the hatch bursts both Batmobiles (The one from the Tim Burton series and the new Dark Knight version).

Hugh: “Enjoy”
Crow: “Dam dude, you sent me two Batmobiles!?”
Hugh: “That’s not all buddy.”

Both hatches open at the same time spewing a slight mist into the air. Out of the old Batmobile comes Megan Fox from the Transformers movie and Playmate Angel Boris. Out of the new Batmobile comes internet sensation Iga Wyral and Shakira.

Dum-Dum: Dam boy!

Crow swallows slowly as each girl walks slowly closer with smiles of mischief. Megan Fox arrives first and places both hands on his chest as she playfully bites down on his lower lip. Angel comes around gives a little nibble on crow’s ear. Iga follows suit taking care of the other side but spending more time on the neck. As Megan comes around Shakira is revealed swaying her hips back and forth in rhythm. A midget drives the lane.

Dum-Dum: Dam!

Scene: Inside the Pavilion.

The girls, Crow, Dum-Dum and the midget look down on the floor where members of the entire Halo community have gathered to play the one true game. Roars of excitement and frustration fill the room while epic battles are being played simultaneously on hundreds of screens. The midget winks. A wiener dog gets his.

Dum-Dum: Dam!

I have a dream people!
